Dropping them will dramatically reduce their chances of functioning.
I didn't read the article but I'm sure that the topic is to be taken literally. ^_^

I don't think that any Palm device is likely to function, at least not very much.

They need to just drop the whole Palm name...just about everyone has owned one or known someone who owned one, and I don't think they have ever made a good device, so the name is just completely toxic at this point...they need to drop the name, drop the OS, and make a nice Android phone...then MAYBE they can hang on.

and why the hell would i be joking?
yes the hardware isnt great, but the OS is just magical. if there was a tablet OS, this would be it. and on a smarphone it blows the others out of the water. im not saying they are bad (okay the iphone OS is crap) but even android (which is the the 2nd best IMO) cant top webos.

haha, im trying. even if its just me left hiosting the company thats about to fall over die, ill try.
seriously couldnt give a crap about palm though. just webos. hell if google bought the os form palm ill jump to whoever makes the next webios device.
this is why i want leveno or HTC to buy palm. HTCs hardware is gold. match it with this OS and its geek heaven. and look what leveno have done for the thinkpad? the whole line up since they bought it from IBM have been amazing. very top notch. and lephone from them looks bloody brilliant, in its shell its got a hysical kb and you can take it out and have it as a virtual kb device. their concpets, hardware and money thrown at webos would alos be a superb match.
