Nice job dell, those are some slick looking phones, and awesome specs too. If that iPhone prototype is actually apples new iPhone, they are in for a world of hurt this year from Dell, HTC, and others.

i wish that were true.
but a person whos been watching the iphone and smarphone market for the last 2 years knows that core buyers that buy into iphones dont look for better hardware, video confrencing multitasking etc.
they just want a trendy phone which also as it happens can do a few cool tricks have tons of games and applications and has alot of 3rd party support.

the people that arent looking for games to play while on the subway or at school ,studying etc are the ones who buy other smartphones that are more hardware capable like the HTC HD2 and other models..

all smartphones rival apple for market share, but dont really do it yet when it comes to the target audience..

android is the only one making true progress. with 2.1 flash as standard and an app store thats growing exponentially google is the only one that could threaten apples success. OS' like symbian maemo will all but die out eventually.
at least from my point of view

if anyone is wondering i dont own an iphone, but a simple&old touch diamond from HTC.

The point of android 2.1 was to prevent rooting of phones...that is the best I can tell, because all it did was to slow down the phone to 1/2 of the old speed, decrease call quality, decrease 3G speed, and add the google voice search. Oh, and it prevents someone from rooting the phone, as it closed the loophole used to root 1.6 and 2.0.1 phones.

Adobe had confirmed that 2.1 would have flash, it does not.
They then confirmed that 2.2 would have flash, but their website now says 2.2 will come out before flash, and that flash will run on any phone that has 2.0 or higher...so 2.1 has nothing to do with flash, other than the broken promises from Adobe.

wow..the android OS band wagon pretty much lost me there..there are many phone MODELS that are coming out with flash built and the 1 true pro android OS had on them is that as long as you had a 2.1 upgradeable phone you could have flash as well.
bubble just burst and it was filled with pus
