Hi!

SO I used to live on this forum a few years ago when I downgraded my PSP to FW 1.5 and installed DevHook v0.51Beta on it and the had great fun getting games and all sorts of stuff on there. Havent played on my PSP for literaly years!!! found it the other day and came to these trusty forums but I cant work out how it works now?

Would be grateful if anyone could fill me in on how I can upgrade my Devhook to emulate FW 6.00 or do I need to go back to the drawing board.

I guess I'm a noob all over again!! ;o)

thanks in advance.

Yes, it's back to the drawing board for you ;) DevHook has been outdated for a long while now, atleast for three years. You need custom firmware, the newest is 5.50 GEN-D3.

Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

No, you don't need a pandora battery, they are only for downgrading a PSP with firmware above 2.71 to 1.50, which is still the latest official firmware to run unsigned code (or in other words homebrew) or to put custom firmware on a PSP Slim, because they don't support firmware 1.50 anymore. You need to update to 5.00 M33

and then 5.50 GEN-D3

and you are all good to go.

One question though. I have got a copy of Little big planet and its asking for firmware 6.00 but you only mention 5.50 am I right in thinking that 6 hasnt been cracked yet?

Thanks again.

You are half right, it has been decrypted but there is no custom firmware yet. But 5.50 Gen-D3 supports games that need up to firmware 6.20.

So I have downloaded the files you suggested but when I run the first one(5.00 M33) I get the error message "The game could not be started (80020001)

not sure what this means??

Just so I understand what I am trying to do here in the hope that I might work out the solution myself am I upgrading the FW to ver 5.00 when I run the first file and the upgrading further to fw 5.50 when I run the second file or are these version numbers completely unrelated to the actual official FW?

Does that even make sense?

Hope it does, if I dont get any replies then I'll know I'm talking S**t! ;o)

if you are still on 1.5 try this.
update to 3.52 M33
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1210 (there is a readme included in the download)
When this is done, update to 5.00 M33
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1570
and the GEND3

you will just continue to follow the initial procedure that the readme tells you to do for each upgrade.
