What game is it? Mario Kart & Super Smash Bros Brawl save files won't copy, because they go online, so they won't copy. Also, what firmware is the wii & where are you accessing the SD Card from (Data Management, or The 4.1-4.2 SD Card Menu)?

I assume you are have downloaded a data.bin file.

To this:

1)In your sd card, create a folder called "private"

2)In the "private" folder, create a folder called "wii"

3)In the "wii" folder, create a folder called "title"

4)In the "title" folder, create a folder called "SMNE"

5)Put the "data.bin" file into the "SMNE" folder, then try to copy the save across.

The directory should look like this: private > Wii > title > SMNE

The guys over at wiihacks have suggested this: Play the game once to create a save file, delete it then copy your save across. If this thing doesn't work, there could be other answers, but I think it may have something to do with your sd card. What is the brand, size & is it SD or SDHC?

Did you try playing the game once to create save file, then delete it & copy yours across. Your SD Card may be another problem, Try using a Sandisk 2GB Card, they usually work best. Also, do you have priiloader installed. You may have a hack enabled that stops you from copying game saves. Try these things first.

A zip file cannot be copied to the wii, it must be a data.bin file.

Priiloader is a brick protection program, if you followed any good 4.2 softmod guide it should be installed. It also has hacks that can be enabled/disabled that allow you to do some pretty cool things with your wii. One of these hacks is to stop you from copying game saves across. To tell if you have it installed, hold the reset button while turning on your wii & it should load.

Also, try playing the game once to create save file, then delete it & copy yours across. You may have tried this already, but how did it turn out? There are more save files here: http://www.wiisave.com/index.php?cid=448

As I said, your sd card may prove a problem, try getting a 2GB Sandisk.

I can't be sure, I did download one, it was just a single data.bin file, nothing else, if you put this file in the directory like I showed you before, it may work, but you still haven't told me if you tried to create a save file, delete then copy or if you have priiloader.

I do not know much about saves like what you described. Those kinds of files are for online games, like Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros Brawl. They cannot be copied normally like Mario Bros should. Since they are online games you need installer manager.

We cannot really progress with this problem until you try all the things I've said, so please try them & tell me what happens.

Make sure priiloader isn't on the sd card when you try to copy. If that doesn't work, as you can see from this thread : http://www.wiihacks.com/wiihacks-newbie-...ave-sd-wii.html

It may not even be possible for some strange reason. However, there is an upside. You can extract a save game from the wii & use an editing application to edit whatever you want, then use savegame manager gx to place it back onto your wii.

The Mario Bros Editor can be found here, however you must be a member of the forum to download it : http://www.xbox360-content.com/forums/ge...ave-editor.html

I'm not forcing you to sign up there in anyway, if you choose that path it is completely up to you.

Please let me know if you choose this path.
