As for the mods thing, I know that they can detect my firmware (that there's a chance of it)... that's not what I asked. Can they detect if you've played games before release dates?

jpizzle says yes, and I'd have to agree.
I loaned a friend of mine a banned 360 for about 3-4 weeks or so. He played a some early releases during that time, on the banned box. He says his profile was banned while playing on someone else's stock 360. The only thing we could come up with, was that the unreleased games showed up in his recently played list while on Live on the stock 360. So yes Microsoft can see if you've played games early. On the other hand, when I play games early (not on Live) I don't connect to Live until the game has been released. Been doing this for a long time and have never been banned. So MAYBE Microsoft can only see your recently played list, and compare it with games released at the current/present time.
eebee thanks so much man, you really enlightened me. I think I'll go and try a stealth patch. All the games i've played that were pre-release were played offline.
Now as for trying to get the stealth patch to work on modern warfare 2 :/... I really have trouble getting it to work.
