thanks for quick replys...
i followed a writern tutorial, which was the same as the pic ones you sent me... so your tutorial is exactly what i did, exept for i was told to have my USB drive formatted to FAT32... do you think that may be the problem...??

format usb to fat 32
do a factory reset
load firmware and do another factory reset
follow the guide as above in link
and then do a check list
1. cable is connected AS IN TV CABLE
2. lan (broadband) is connected from router to box
3. you presed 8989 on accessory and made sure everything is on/autoupdate.ect..
4. Menu - Option -networks - net application - Ustream
5. menu - options - osd setup - region, england
6. menu - options - network - ip setup, auto (ip address should be seen)
leave on movies/sports for 10 min and see if any channels have cleared
and most important your area must have done changeover to nag.3

cheers e45, when i turn on auto do i have to activate it at bottom as i have been waiting for about 15 mins allready but nothing so far, i have also notised that when i go back into my ip setting's it's not on auto no more?

when you do auto can you see your ip ?? all the info is posted above a couple of posts back

good new's i have found my ip address and i put it on sky sport's 1 and left it and after 3 mins the channels came on, how come i can't get any of the porn channels like i got with my starveiw 4 box?

they dont start till after watershed or maybe they dont have them channels on the sv i dont know m8

well they were working over here & in uk when we had the sv.6 & and i assumed because no 1 else has enquired about them that uk still had them

tried all of the above with no sucsess. done it with USB formatted on FAT16 and FAT 32. makes no difference...
how do i check if my ip adress is correct?, as when i do this step...
(6. menu - options - network - ip setup, auto (ip address should be seen)),i can not see ip adress... all channels still say they are scrambled!!

on option 6. you should see
example only
ip address 192.168.155.1 and not 0000000 underneath all of them
subnet mask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.154.1.11
ect .......
ect ......
also it has nothing to do with formatting your usb/ only to be done if cant load firmware
also when you change channel does it say connected or not connected even though it may say scrambled aswell ?
you may have to configure your router to a specific setting,eg: no firewall on,some security feature may block it from working
also is your broadband wireless, wireless meaning (from provider to router by wireless signal or cabled into your house ?
(as some have had problem similar because its wireless)
or perhaps your area is not on nag.3 at present

yeah, all my ip addreses say 00000000.
how do i find correct ip address?? and when i change channel it says "not conncted" on the bar at the bottom of screen, and "scrambled" on the left side of screen.
my broadband is wired, and router has no firewall.

not realy the scrambled part to be worried about at moment
you could get your ip address ect from your computer/laptop and try put it in manual
first though if you have a modem going to router, take the router away and go direct from modem to starview.6

taken router out of way, so straight from modem now.
input ip address, etc, but it will not let me input USER DNS, so tried without that part.
it still says not connected.
any more idea?

with goig direct from modem try do it the normal way first put it on automatic and press apply down the bottom

put cable straight from moden to box. tried with manual and auto ip addresses. still says not connected both ways..
ip address in auto is different to one on my computer, which seams strange...

when you do it with auto can you see the ip address, after you press apply, exit wait 5 min then go back and see if your ip address is there instead od all 00000 all the way down
also the ip address will have a different digit at the end EG: comp 195.115.1.12/ box 195.115.1.10
now if you are getting ip in your box on auto, do a factory reset and follow guide again
will wait for reply

your box ip and your pc ip and your router ip will all be different as they get assigned different ones

followed guide again. it found ip address on auto. but still says not connected. input ip address manual and tried again. same, not connected. all the channels are listed, but scrambled.
if it says not connected is there any point in waiting 10 mins for box to unscramble??
any more ideas guys??
