Hey, this is probably going to sound really redundant and I have been searching and googling (not binging) to check out what are the best Dual Layer Disk, and whether the LASER brand (which is what I can't get a real answer on) is good or will my Xbox just stop reading the disk in like 6 months. I actually do not have any specifications on my Xbox yet ( Don't have one yet, trying to gather as much information as I can) and I already know vertabrims are the best.
Secondly, and I have asked this question a couple of times and I haven't really gotten a solid answer to it, but and I am going to refer back to the Wii on this; If I have an Xbox 360 Console with old firmware (not the DVD drive, not talking about iXtreme) and I grab a new game from the store and/or find a backup for it, and chuck it in my Xbox 360 (with my DVD drive being flashed with iXtreme or LT), does the DISK HAVE to make a firmware update to the 360 CONSOLE to play (I think firmware on a 360 is called Dashboard not sure)?
AND
If it does could this potentially ruin the Xbox 360 cause of it having a Flashed DVD-drive ?, because with the Wii if you attempt to make an update from a game the homebrew on the Wii breaks the system and most likely bricks it.
Basically is it safe to do firmware updates from a game disk ?
