Google has announced that it will give YouTube fans a chance to share their videos with more privacy, offering "private" and now "unlisted" options alongside the standard "public" option. Well this option sounds great for someone like my dad. He wants to share some home videos with distant family members, older uncles and aunts, and those retards don't understand wtf it means when they have to create an account at youtube. They're those ignorant computer users that think creating a youtube account will either give their computer a virus, or steal all of their money from their bank account, or they think creating a youtube account carrys the same legal repercussions as opening a bank account.

So now he can just send them the link, they can click on it, and he doesn't have to worry about random strangers posting rude comments like "Your baby is a fag and your a retard!!"

This should also get around uploads and file sharing. If it's labeled private changes are they won't be looking for the eye patch crowd.

Yar, but YouTube has removed private videos in the past because you could hear part of a copywrited song in the background...I don't see how this would change anything as far as piracy goes.

welcome to kiddie pr0n heaven.. watch how fast they remove this "feature"

If you want to let your friends see private video just send it to then, or upload it passworded and zipped to zshare or similar.. Even "private" video won't be private on goobtube.. the site is as leaky as Florida...
