Problem With Lt on Lite-on 7485

Hi , just flashed a stock Lite-on 7485 with LT. Downloaded the Lite-on LT pack...did all the ususal stuff...obtained the key with the probe , etc , etc....it auto loaded the Lt firmware and everything went fine. On teasting the machine it plays original games fine, but when it comes to back-ups it loads them and then when the game goes into the into sequence bit if freezes the 360 up and it has to be powered down and then back on. Tried this on about half a dozen backups and all the same. Now my question is is it possible to auto load the wrong drive firmware out of the liteon pack?...does anybody know a solution to this and if so how would i do it?

depends on what JF version you are using.. retry with the newest 1.73c, it will even autoload the stock FW for ya and stores everything too.

yeah i used 1.73...just been testing the machine and yes it plays originals perfectly but it also played dante's inferno ( backup )but froze after about 20 seconds into actually playing the game....but it froze on the intro for bioshock 2 ( backup ).

oh i forgot to mention that when the dante inferno game stopped a box came up on the screen with game error...disk unreadable, try cleaning disk , etc , etc

that i aint got mate as i did it in my mates shop on his pc......just out of interest...i have had disks working since i posted the thread...it seems it dont like a-one disks but is hit and miss with verbs......just had a game on uefa euro 2008 on a verb and played a full match no problem...so the flash is ok..but maybe the drive is on the way out as it is whistling and squeaking a lot...or possibly the laser. What do you reckon?

probally the laser.. pot tweak an option?

I am guessing you didn't do a full dump? Did you cut the traces? The dummy.bin method does NOT dump the laser calibration. Therefore you get disc read errors all the time and eventually kill the laser. If you are using Verbs and still getting errors, it's time for a new laser or drive replacement.

no it wasnt the full dump.....was wondering though would it be possible to jusr re-flash it with 1.61 as this isnt as keen as the Lt is it for calibration errors...or am i incorrect...Been also looking at swapping the drive with a new one( same model lite - on 7485) is this an easy job to do?
