I contacted "Iwantabox" today asking for Eurovox only to be told the Official manufacturer has ceased production and any Models available would now be clones and not genuine.

That's great support for you. Just seems a cop-out to leave everyone in the lurch.

Beware buying any cheap Official or non Official Eurovox as they will most probably just be dumping stock.

Also noticed the manufacturer site has gone integra.co.kr

think they are going the Sat route and stopping their cable boxs, so I heard

Secondly, why would you buy a box thats going to be a doorstopper in a couple of weeks anyways.

Not a bad idea, although i think it's hard to match something like the Dreambox 500s clones for price.
Yes there not genuine and no HD but at £30-40 there a steal.

I hope there attempts are better than the Eurovox Quantum which fell at the first hurdle.

can assure you that once you master the dm500s all you will want to do is give it to someone else. sure it works fine but its limited memory means you have major issues storing a tv guide on it. so while its nice to have channels its a pain when you can't see whats currently on them without switching to that particular channel. the tv guide supplied over satellite does not conform to any dreambox plugin so the only solution is to download it to usb or computer share device. since the dm500s does not have usb you only have the option of storing it on computer share. its an almighty pain to have your computer running so you get a tv guide on the dm500. so be aware.
