Alright, my LT switch came in the mail today. And... I guess I got a little ahead of myself, and started taking apart the 360 and everything. But, I totally forgot I needed a fiberglass scratch pen for it as well.... which isn't here yet.

I did however attempt to cut the traces, I was wondering if maybe someone could tell if I've done a good job with it? I don't exactly have something to test the continuity.

Also, if I were to plug it in, and attempt to play something in this state, would it short the drive? this is something that confuses me... since the drive needs power anyways, in order to test continuity, right? =S

i cant tell you how much easier it is to have a multimeter that tests continuity. All it tells you is if you have a connection so no power is necessary. You test two points on either side of the cut...you hear a beep that means there's continuity and you need to cut more. No beep = no continuity. Otherwise there's no way of knowing if there's some tiny little fragment of metal making a connection. I wouldnt suggest trying to do it without one really

Yes sir. That meter will do just fine. At 99 cents, hurry up and buy it before I beat you to it.

you are going to get banned in november when the new cod game comes out if you are planning play online.so if your not willing to buy a new console when you get banned dont mod it if you are go ahead but it´s not worth it in my opinion.

Thank-you Eeebeejay, and w00ly. ^^

If you want to buy it, go ahead, I think it says he has over 10 left. =P

I don't really log online that much to be honest... probably won't go online at all until long after the update come out. Thank-you for your concern though.

The LT switch is a piece of junk. Much easier if you just buy a vampire probe.

I already have the LT switch, as previously stated ... sounds almost like flame bait.

Well, multimeter came today... it's an Actron if that means anything. o.O

I'm having a bit of trouble with it, I have it set to 200, and even set it to 2000 under the ohms setting, but it always reads one when connected to anything on the 360. If I connect it to each other, then it reads some numbers, or connect it to any other peiece of metal... but, not the 360. it says that 200 = 0.1 ohms, and 2000 = 1 ohms. Which is what's recommended on the xecuter website. any thoughts or advice on this?

Edit: I'm wondering if it's because I'm possibly touching it to parts that arent't directly exposed to metal, but are covered with the green pert of the PCB board? =S

edit2: I found a post by leerage in this thread, that helped. I'm pretty sure I cut everything correctly now, thanks again leerage. : D
