You Can Use the Pinnacle Studio, Nero Can Also Work, But Must Pay For Them.

Nero Is Much More Expensive.

In Windows Movie Maker Go To File Then To Import from Digital Video Camera and that Should Do It. The Rest Is Hidden Under the F1 Button on Your Keyboard.

Hi Berryone
Thanks for the help your giving me.
I followed your instuctions through to import from your device on Movie Maker, livewire in set it to playback VCR but nothing happended. A square came up on the screen saying is your device here but nothing showed on the screen. Is it possible that the Livewire cable i bought is a dud??. If it was working when i set it to playback and VCR does it automatically turn it on and play it on the screen.

Connecting to a Computer Using a DV (IEEE1394) Cable

You can transfer recordings to a computer equipped with a DV (IEEE1394) terminal or
IEEE1394 capture board. Optional software is required for transferring recordings
from the tape to a computer. Refer to the instruction manual of the software.
Use the optional CV-150F (4 pin?4 pin) or CV-250F (4 pin?6 pin) DV Cable.

❍ Operation may not work correctly depending on the software and the
specifications/settings of your computer.

❍ If the computer freezes while you have connected the camcorder, disconnect
and reconnect the DV cable. If the problem persists, disconnect the interface
cable, turn off camcorder and computer, turn camcorder and computer back
on and reconnect them.

(From Page 91 of Manual)

Your Camera Doesn't Have a USB Port.

My computer doesn't find my DV camera when I plug the camera in. Why not?
This can occur for the following reasons:

The DV camera is not powered on.

The DV camera went into standby mode. Some DV cameras will go into standby mode if the DV camera is in the record (Camera) mode with a tape in it and no video or audio is being sent to or from the camera.

To fix the problem, do one or more of the following, and then try again:

Verify that the DV device is connected properly to your computer with an IEEE 1394 connection or a USB 2.0 connection.

Verify that the DV camera is powered on and in VCR (playback) mode.

Switch off the DV camera and then switch it on again in VCR (playback) mode.

It's Recomended in the Manual on Page 91.
Do You Have a Manual?
The Power Adapter Should Have Been included With the Camera.
