i have a cechh01 with red screen stating a serious error has occured contact customer support, no warranty on this system, i have ran through all the options on recovery menu multiple times and no luck so far and have updated to 3.30. was wondering if anyone has bought that ps3lightsfix.com setup where they guarantee that the information will fix things like the red screen, and all errors and ylod, i was thinking about getting it(its on sale for $37) but didnt want to waste my money if it wasnt no count, but as far as i can tell that is the only one that says that it will fix all problems. let me know if any of you have tried it. thanks or if there are other options for this problem besides sony.
It's a scam. I wouldn't go for it. Any sort of information they give you for $37 can be had for free elsewhere. If you don't want to fork out the money to Sony (which is a good call on your part), take a look at the various YLOD and such threads, see if those can help you out.
I know there are various people who have had that red screen, so a search through these forums and the Haxnetwork forums (and any others that people recommend, I usually stick to those two) should help you. Sorry I can't say more.
thanks for the info, i have looked around a lot and most people cant fix it without sending it to sony so i will try a few more things and then part it out if it dont fix. thanks for the quick reply
