Dollar signs on starview

hi ppl im new to this, im trying to fix a friends starview for him, he couldn't get any channels with dollar signs next to them, ive done a factory reset turned the box off for 2mins and re scanned the box, its picked up all the channels, just cant get a picture or sound from the channels with dollar signs next to them,the emu is turned on, i don't know much about the box, its silver with 5 buttons in the middle of the display ch dwn, ch up, standby button, vol dwn, and vol up, ive found out its a clone box. ive got a eurovox so all this starview stuff is new to me, any help would be greatly appreciated thanks ginz. im in the w.midlands 5a 01

you could also try and erase the channels that are not coming in
rescan them back in
press set default key in menu
and put emu on
