Ive got an NTSC console and a PAL game, so I'm planning on patching it with PAL2NTSC then ESR to load in FMCB.
My question is, will there be any visual side effects in doing so?(Different colors, wrong screen size, ect?). Should I just take the time to get the game in NTSC?
P.S.
I have a side question, can ESR play Japanese games and region exclusives?
Thanks,

I am now using OpenPS2Loader and an S-Video cable, and I tried a PAL game in OpenPS2Loader it came out black & white with the screen bigger than the TVs, so my question is: would a PAL to NTSC patch fix this and if so, would I use the one you linked me to (V1.07 BETA), or mine (V1.03 BETA). I would use the newest one, but it's better to be safe, than sorry.
Also, what does Y-Fix offset do, and when do I use it?
Thanks for the help, ps2 modding is more confusing than xbox, and me being 16 doesn't make it any easier,

If you have an HDTV, then I would just use the V1.07, if not then just use the V1.03
Yes Patching it would fix that.
The Y-fix offset is for if a lot of the screen is not showing on the Tv, such as a lot of the bottom is missing.
Then you have to use the Offset.
You can also just try using the GSM.ELF also, before you start OpenPS2Loader

The only thing with it is it has to be run from uLe, it can't be run from fmcb Main menu.
First start fmcb 1.8, then launch uLe, then GSM.ELF
Just read the first few posts, should explain how it works.
Once you do these things a few times on the PS2, it won't be so bad. It does require some reading at times.
