well i recently got a xbox360 elite for free from my pissed friend.so when i turn it on i notice it gives my the e 74 error. i did the towel trick and it worked perfect. so i decide to try to mod the xbox but when i do i get this image

Are you trying to flash it with the original firmware? Or a modded firmware? I've found that it's a lot easier to use jungle flasher. You can get it off xbins. Although I've used iPrep a ton of times. You can google videos that will show you exactly what to do. It's actually fairly easy.

I have two Benqs and they are one of the easiest ones to flash.

yea when i try to flash with jf it doesnt read it.....nd im using a modded software but it doesnt want to read the firm ware on the drive

What error do you get?

no the xbox has not been modded it doesnt even have the new firm ware its still with the firmware from 2008
i also notice when i put it on b mode it gives me the e74 error
it doesnt read the drive so i cnt do any thing and when i use dosflash it recognizes it but it doesnt want to read the frimware so that i can put the modded firmware on it

You shouldn't be putting a BenQ in mode B, that's for Hitacis. Did you have a look at the guide I linked you to?
