Ive read through a bunch of different postings on here and I remember reading a while back that you can backup gamecube games onto your sd card and play them off of it. So I went out and bought a 32 gig sd card since that is what I read to be the highest sd card that is playable with the wii. My wii is softmodded to 4.2 using larryj's guide. Have been playing the wii with usb loader and working perfect, but there are a few gamecube games I would like to play again. Any help or possibly a guide would be really appreciated. Thank you :)

Ok i have not done this myself but it seems simple enough . First you will need an emulator to play GameCube roms . FCE Ultra Gx is the emulator you would need for GameCube roms. You can download it from wiibrew and put it in your app folder or if you have HomebrewBrowser just navigate it "Emulators" and download "FCE Ultra Gx" . Once that part is done you can launch the emulator from HomeBrew Channel . You can play your roms using smb over the network . Use the settings in the emulator under "network" to navigate to your smb . If you want to play them off your sd card put your roms in app/fceugx folder .
hope this helps .

this is where i found this info

Alright fair enough.. For some reason I was expecting it to not be via emulators since the wii is already capable of playing wii games.. But ill give the emulator a try =) After being used to configurable usb loader I thought id be renting gamecube games and ripping them to the sd card =)

It would probably be easier to download the GC roms . I am not to sure about ripping GC game . You should be able to find them online .
