Sony has confirmed today that it will be offering ten free games to new PSPGo owners who register their systems online.
The games included in the deal are not some cheap ports either. For a second I was almost ready to go get one; then I remembered a few things:
1.) The controls on the go suck.
2.) To get what sony sells you with a system is easy; to keep the features, you have to sue them with multiple class action suits.
3.) In spite of how it looks and the concessions to space, you still can't make phone calls or connect to 3G networks.
4.) I only want one of the free games; and it is the only game on the platform that I want anyway; I could just buy a used PSP and buy the game, and spend a lot less in the process...assuming I was willing to pay that much for one game.
If sony ever wants my business again, they will return OtherOS to the PS3. If they ever want to sell me a PSP, they will also have to make it a phone, and an android phone at that.

I still haven't upgraded from my psp Phats. Like I've been saying all along. I won't upgrade until the handheld gets a second analog stick.

What about a phone and 3G internet (but still no sticks)...would that be good enough?

If you want the go to work sale a 50$ device that will rip a game with a mandatory connection to PSN, check the games data for integrity, register it to the users account and put PSP DRM on it so the go can use it.
If you d not do this you will never get the go off the ground.......

Unless I get a game physically in my hand, this 10 free games is total BS. After all, you really don't own them in the first place, and they are likely infested with draconian DRM anyway. No thanks. Nothing to see here people, move along, move along!!

That what I hoped for when Sony announced go it should have capacitive touch screen and micro-sim slot but nooo they shrunk the screen took out and the UMD drive so you can't play the games you already bought whats wrong with you Sony?

It's not easy to play these games on PSP. Free games don't have any value at all.
