I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit and was wondering whether Jungleflasher was recognising my BenQ wrong or is it ok to flash?
Thanks for any help

I think your meant to connect to port 0xE660. It's the one on the front of VIA chipset.
Haven't flashed in awhile so best to wait for someone else for advice.

I'm using a SATA PCI Adapter Chipset VT6421A and the drive is hooked up to the XBOX's power.

I believe the older BenQs (FW rev: 62430C) will show up like that. Click Intro/Device ID and then power cycle (disconnect DVD drive power plug for 1 second then plug back in) if prompted.
You should get a good status (0x73) and good flash chip properties. At that point you can read the firmware.

I followed the normal BenQ process, starting with BenQ unlock, then i used the intro/device ID, read, write and then outro reset. But putting a backup into the drive only comes up with 'Play DVD', any ideas?
EDIT: I'm trying to flash it with iXtreme 1.61 (ix16-benq.bin)

Try just spoofing the original firmware to iX and reflash.

Is that just loading the BenQ OFW instead of iXtreme and flashing it?

Sorry about this lol, should I save the file as BENQ CFW and then flash using intro/device ID etc etc?
EDIT: Couldn't notice these two OSIG things are different, is this ok?

I really appreciate your help by the way.

They play just fine at the moment, but older iXtreme firmware isn't recommended for Live. You should be flashing iXtreme LT for BenQ. Plus, iXtreme 1.6 etc won't play all of the newer waves of games.

Ahh ok, so should I just reflash using LT then?

Correct.
Load original firmware into Source
Load iX LT 1.1 for BenQ.
Spoof source to target.
Reflash firmware.
iX LT doesn't care about waves so it will play anything regardless. All stealth is assumed correct. SSv2 and SplitVid is recommended.
