The screen is absolutely amazing, not only is it large but because of the 720p HD on the phone the resolution makes it appear to look even better. The phone is equipped with a brand new phone processor which is also in the Verizon Wireless Incredible. The EVO boasts an HDMI input cable so that you may hook it up to an HDTV. 4G obviously is not online yet, so the internet the phone ran on was simply 3G. Although it was in 3G it ran much more faster than any other iPhone or Blackberry I have ever used, which I think is in part because of the processor. It will be interesting to see how this 4G network is going to work, how well it will work, and how fast the internet will actually be. If you are a Sprint user I would definitely recommend getting it!
Wow, not surprised you're from best buy. So much wrong in your comment don't know where to begin. HDMI input.. seriously? input? Camera records 720p, though the device can only display up to 480p. It doesn't have enough pixels for 720. "Much more faster"... dude. Let me contact your middle school English teacher so she can smack you. My god.. you know nothing about phones. You should ask to be transfered to home appliances or something.

Hehe...I can believe that guy works for bestbuy...those people don't know anything about phones, and if they do, then they get re-assigned to the appliances department. If they know something about everything, then they get fired...because bestbuy employees are not allowed to be knowledgeable or helpful.

1.) Big Screen (not 720p, but bigger than a droid)
2.) 8mp camera (not a big deal; other phones already have it)
3.) Supports WiMax (not 4G...but no one offers 4G yet anyhow.)
4.) HDMI output (only 720p, and not terribly useful...also, HDMI input devices are illegal...so don't expect one on a phone any time soon)
5.) 1GHZ and 512MB ram (just like the incredible already has.)
6.) 8GB MicroSD card (This is downright pathetic...the droid comes with a 16GB; and the Droid is already ancient)

killerbug, you really cant compare big screen to the resolution :P

but it actually has less pixel than the droid. the Evo has 800x480 where as the droid has 854x480.

but yeah, it isnt really 4g, its pre 4g, let say 3.5g

as for 8mp camera, just becuase others have it doesnt mean its no good. mp really means nothing in terms of quailty.

its only a mSD card btw, it can be upgraded, no harm.

but yeah WTF that guy durely doesnt work for buybuy, hes a complete idiot when it comes tophones.

This is incorrect, HDMI input devices that break or strip DHCP so that you can recorded protected content are illegal. And solutions that have HDMI in and component out accomplish that legally via the analog hole(if you are ok analog of course.) Google blackmagic intensity pro for an example of a PC based hdmi recording solution

That's basically what I meant...you can't even record gameplay from a PS3 without HDCP stripping...and analog looks really bad on a good screen.

OK seems everybody wants to bash the best buy guy. I won't though. He had some good information in there.
Those that say it's not 4g, check again, Sprint is the only cell service provider that is offering 4g at this time. I have one of there towers on my property. the 4g service is very limited to major markets and mostly along highways, but the phone also runs on the 3g service also.
On the SD card thing. It supports up to 32 gig although will come with 8 gig.
Camera.... It actually has 2. there is actually a 1.3 megapixel on the same side as the display for video confrencing, while the 8 megapixel will be on the backside
And I think the biggest thing that has been missed and not talked about yet here.....
The phone can be used as a wireless hotspot. Being able to hook up 4 (I believe) computers/xbox/ps3/wii (miss any?) to the internet. Which I believe to be the best feature of this phone.
And before people start bashing, I done gots me mys diplomas son I R dont be karin bout mys spellins or gramer, so don't waste your time ;)
Just my cheap two cents

Yes, we have all "checked again" and last time we all checked 4G standards are 100 Mbps while the client physically moves at high speeds relative to the station, and 1 Gbps while client and station are in relatively fixed positions. The EVO's weak ass 3-6Mbps isn't even close. So yeah, 3.5G is. Sprint is being dishonest and jumping the gun on industry agreed upon nomenclature/standards that it's current set up clearly doesn't meet. Sprints use of 4G is and advertising ploy, take it with a grain of salt.
