How to Flash ?

Hi Friends,
I know this question was answered many time, but even i read that answer i'm worried to flash by Xbox. I bought a used Xbox and it is 20Gb one. I think its a PRO version. I have many questions to, if you can help me to flash my Xbox (in here), i will pay you.
Here are the questions...
How do i know if my Xbox is already modded ? (is there any way to check if iXtreme is installed or not), i checked the Warranty seal and its broken. And i can play original xbox360 games, i din't tried a burned copy as it'll take 10 days to download one.
If it not flashed, can i directly flash to iXtreme Firmware 1.7 or 1.6 ?
(I don't care about online, i won't go online in Xbox, so no problem about Banning)
In any case if goto online and if my account banned, can i still use my xbox to play games offline (not online) ?
While flashing and something goes wrong like if my drive won't read disks any more, can i undo it and do it again ?
What is the WAVE thing ?

If you are wanting to play copies, then you will need to either download a game, rip a game yourself or buy a ripped game. This is the easiest way to tell if it has been modded.

Yes there are plenty of guides to do this, the best is the JungleFlasher PDF (google it)

This will not reduce the risk of being banned.

Depends what drive you have, Lite-on & BenQ yes, Hitachi no, not sure about samsung

Seriously, its the partitions where the updates are kept on the disk. As long as you use either 1.51 (hitachi), LT (benq & liteone) or 1.61 (samsung) you should be fine.
