I have two Wii's, one with a drivekey, one with wiikey 2. Can I use rawdump and my LG drive (which I normally use for backups) on an original SMG2, or will that not work? Is there any steps I could do to make it work?
Also, would this work for NSMB? Thanks for any info.

It should work for both games, though with NSMB you'll have to patch the iso to remove the diskcheck. I dont think SMG2 has that particular copy protection feature, so you should be fine there.

Thanks! Two other things:
1 - I've seen how to patch it mentioned here. Is there a specific way, or will any of the instructions work?

2 - Since I don't use imports, letting SMG2 update the system won't hurt anything will it?

1) I've only done one patch, so I cant speak to them all working. But the worst case scenario if it doesn't work is that you waste a DVD. And even without patching you can still play it if you install some homebrew and boot it through neogamma. The patching is only required if you want to play it with a modchip.

2) Updating to 4.2 shouldn't hurt anything except blocking imports, and you can still boot them through neogamma as well should you ever need to.
