My jtag is on 8955 and I don't have the org. Nand dump. Bought it this way. I also have a bad block. I dumped it to a flash drive, but I cannot get the CPU key because xell is not installed (probably XBR2 or something). Can I install xell safely even though I don't have the orig nand dump? If so, how do I install xell via flash drive and get the cpu key? In all, I want to update to freeboot on the newest kernel.

Flash360 - Xellous
From xellous, whilst xbox is connected to your comp, or your network, dump nand/kv/cpu key/etc via Firefox (or IE, cant remember which) and go from there.

It says to place updslot0.bin in the root. This file isn't in the zip. Did I miss something?

You have to rename xellous.bin to updslot0.bin

You have to rename xellous.bin to updslot0.bin
s no xellous.bin file either. I have:
xell-1f.bin
xell-2f.bin
xell-readcd.bin
xell-serial.bin

Download Flash360 from Xbins
Download XeLLous from Xbins
Extract contents of Flash360.zip to a folder
Copy that folder to the root of your Xbox 360 HDD
Extract xell-2f.bin from XeLLous.zip and rename it to updslot0.bin
Copy updslot0.bin to a USB stick and put it in your 360
Start XeXMenu, Navigate to the root of you HDD and run Flash360.xex
Press button B, press button A.
Follow on screen instructions to exit and shut down from Flash360 (do not exit via guide button)
Once console has shut down, remove power for at least 30 seconds to allow for a complete reinitialization of console.
Remove USB stick
Replace power and boot console via the eject button to boot into XeLLous.
