look when i bought my xbox i was ix 1.51 then i update it to 1.6 (i never played in a live)
now i'm playing it with 1.6 firmware and i want to play in xbox live and connect my xbox to the net.and for this i need to update firmware to lt 1.1 because if i will stay with my ixtreme 1.6 i will get ban.
1:do i need to format my xbox for not get banned or all i need to do is just get version LT 1.1 or i need to format and to update?
sorry it take me a lot of time to write this cause my write with english is bad (i don't know write in english ) please help me ..

It is recommended you flash your drive to your original stock firmware before you update. If your drive is a Liteon or a Benq then you can install Litetouch 1.1 firmware on your console. You can download the latest update from link. If you have a samsung or a hitachi drive, you can install ixtreme 1.61 firmware but it is not safe on XBOX live.

All other drives are considered to be detectable by Microsoft (YMMV). Make sure all rips are ABGX verified, contain SSv2, and patched AP2.5 (where needed). XGD3 must currently be burned on new drive with PC Burner Max firmware for 100% rip. All modded consoles can be potentially unsafe for use on XBOX live."

my drive is lite-on and i need to change it to ix1.51 and then to lt1.1?
or just formate my xbox and then get lt1.1?
