Hey guys,
I had my console banned last Nov and now everytime I play backup games and then swap the HDD to my unbanned console, the profile is corrupted, which isn't helpful if i'm trying to achievements.
So i'm thinking about purchasing a second hand 360 and flashing that. My question is, if I get an unbanned 360 and flash it, not use it on xbox live, just use it to play backups, will the profile on the HDD still get corrupted when I swap them over?
Is this corruption only caused by a banned console?

Yes, the corruption is caused by the banned console. There is a fix for it though. You'll have to solder to the motherboard and dump the NAND. From there you can repair the NAND and flash it back. Don't update to the latest dash though (via USB) as it will probably remove the info you need to repair the NAND.
If you decide to purchase another console, make sure it is not banned and you won't have corruption issues.
Well I have a new issue with this. Recently due to Fable 3 my 360 has been flagged as failing the AP25 challenge. I took the console offline before it was actually banned, but my profile still gets corrupted when swapping between the modded box and the non-modded one. I was in the dash preview on the modded one and not the other so i just figured that was why. However, I updated the other console today and it still says its corrupted. Maybe there is still a difference between the beta dash and the actual released dash that could be causing it and ill update the one with the beta dash as soon as i get ahold of the update file. Just hoping that's all it is because transferring the profile to pc to uncorrupt everytime i want to play a backup is sucky lol. Just a heads up though that simply being flagged for ban may be enough to corrupt the profile.
*edit* as a side note the game saves are not corrupted, only the profile.
If you played Fable 3 on the updated dash you're screwed. Why did you even do it? You will get banned when they send the ban wave. You can check the secdata to confirm. Your profile gets corrupted because that's the process of failing the AP check.
Because I didn't know Fable 3 had the new check in it before I ran it. But thanks for answering my question. I figured it had something to do with the failed AP check but wasn't sure because its happened to other people between modded and unmodded consoles before Fable 3 and the new check. Just surprised it happened w/o even being banned yet. Either way the flagged console won't be connected to XBL ever again regardless, So I'll just keep running my profile through the con_flag_remover program. Sucks but it'll work for now.
Guess I'll pick up a slim and mod my unmodded console so I hopefully won't have to worry about the profile corruption again.

I thought if you did the last update, where it made it possible to load games on a flash drive. You could not dump an fix the nand.
I think I have the same problem. I dont have the new lt+ firmware and i whacked in NFS hot pursuit. It said the security check was wrong and started updating my dash... Now it seems im either flagged or half banned as my profile corrupts when i move it to my online clean 360 yet i can still play games on my "half banned" console from my hard drive. I dont know if my save games aint corrupted but i cant move them to my MU to see if they do corrupt on the clean 360, plus i dont want to take that risk cos if my game saves do corrupt, i will probs cry lmao.
If your thinking that we both have a "Beta" dash and have just been flagged.... then it probs worth a try sticking in the ethernet cable and completing the update. then going dark and then we might be able to transfer the gamertags over and what not. Maybe because its a beta version included with the new Ap2.5 games that it dont seem compatible with the full kinectdashboard? I suppose its worth a try!
