Hello all, my PS2 was chipped about 2 years ago so I'm using the old boot disk when loading a copied games I think the chip was called the Neo 5. I want to make a backup of one of my games but it on a DVD format so I got to get the 1.70gb to fit onto 700mb cd as my ps2 only plays copied cd games. Can somebody please point me in the right direction I already have DVD Decrypter and RecordNow Max 4.50 but I must need some other software to shrink the size of a dvd game onto a normal cd.

So are you saying every game has a special rip kit is that the way everybody else rips ps2 games to cd.

using a rip kit is the easyist way you could do it your self but its a long drawn out process and requires some knoledge of what your doing and quiet a collection of software

Thanks for the reply do you think it will be easier to just get mine chipped again with the messiah chip so I can boot it straight off a backup dvd game.

to be honest yes a new chip would probably be the best option as most ps2 games are dvd based and 1:1 backups are quite easy to do with a dvd writer

What Chip do you recommend? and is there a thread on how to go about backing up games with that chip?

Well I don't know how to tell with the versions but I brought it end of 2000 when they first come out.
