I agree with everyone else. I haven't used Limewire in years. I will still use my other sources. Ones that don't have viruses.

I'll count myself amongst the many who won't miss the demise of this tired virus riddled site. I fortunately only incurred a few mionior infections while using it, that Notron was able to fix forme. But the biggest reason I stopped using it was due to the crappy results that started poppin up. So many fakes, and the ones that were real(mostly the music)were all of sub-par 128 quality. Sure if you were lucky you'd find some 160's and evena few 192's. But for the most part, After it's heyday came and went, it became little more than a refrence tool for quickly downloading and previewing a song, only to then delete it and get the whole alubm through torrent if you were interested enough, or for my sister, who found it easier to use thatn messing around with torrents. Good, get rid of it.won't be missed at all.

All I hear is a bunch of little whiners that don't know how to use a program..."Good riddance, full of viruses, crap this crap that"...I have used it for a long time, never got a virus or something of that kind. It works pretty good at getting torrents as well, or direct, private sharing with other users...if you have a clue of what you're doing.
Yes, there are other better sources, but that's not the point. You just fail to see the bigger picture- if it goes down, is plus one for fu@#k!ng RIAA, zero for everybody else...

Good point, cyprusrom. This just makes it easier to line the pockets of those bastard lawyers that head the RIAA. They can go suck it! If you don't like the program, don't use it, cause there's always alternatives out there.

I also never cought a virus using it, it's also true like someone else said, everbody is missing the point, no matter if limewire sucks or not we all lose on this one, and last, why would one complain he or she wouldn't have to fix people's pc's because of viruses caused by limewire, and would be great to eliminate it, I myself if I was fixing pc's would be elated at the fact it was giving me work.
