Swaping Hitachi DVD drive for Benq

I've looked around and really can't find any answers.

The deal:
I currently have a Flashed XBOX360 with an Hitachi DVD drive, I believe 1.51. I haven't been online since flashing it, but with LT I would like to get back on, but the Hitchi drive is standing in my way.
I have an other broken 360 (fried MoBo), but the BenQ drive is like new.

The Questions:

Can I swap out the Hitachi drive and replace it with the BenQ drive and ixtreme LT?

If I do this, is this is a quick ban? I understand nothing is 100% safe, but does swapping out the drive give me away?

Dump the key from the Shitachi.
Spoof that key to the BenQ.
Be sure to use LT 1.1

I swapped a Shitachi with a BenQ almost two years ago. It's still not banned.

hmmmmm.

so basically follow the jungleflasher guide until the part where you "save the firmware," spoof it with LT 1.1, and write onto a benq/lite-on?
