jungleflash wont detect ms25 samsung on mates xp

Hi all. yesterday, i flashed my xbox with a samsung ms28 using jungle flash and windows 7. No problems at all.
Now my freind has tried to flash his ( the same way exactly ) but , jungleflash will not detect his samsung drive. He has tried everything ( from having the drive half open to having jesus inside for a laugh lol) Is there anything he has to have for xp to recognise it?. He does have a ms25 so i wouldnt of thought he needed the sammy un-lock for this job. But if jungleflash wont even recognise his dvd drive, what can we do?. Please help if possible and many thanks in advance Maybe is it something to do with the sata port? but saying that, he took the sata from his 2nd dvd burner and placed it into the xbox sata port.

Hi just done a TS-H943A MS25 had the same problem, I had to go in to the bios and change the sata to native/ide then worked straight away, only other thing I can think of is that his sata ports aren't supported by jungle flasher, hope it helps.

well, i don't know how a samsung drives flashed, but if you flash it by putting the xbox into mode B, make SURE you've put it into mode B properly, my PC couldn't recognize mine because i didn't put my Benq into mode B properly

Samsung drives dont require mode b like Hitachi or Benq at least MS25 don't.

a sammy ms25 is easyer to flash then the ms28, to flash a sammy you need to get it into vender mode. jungle flash has good docmentation on this (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=X0I9TGOZ), the ms25 doesn't need to use sammy unlock i belive, u just hit Intro/device id, flash then close. As far as it not working on his pc.. try it on yours (easy fix lol).

MS25 deffinatly doesn't need the sammy unlock, your right it is just Intro/device id and hit read then flash your custom firmware with the key from your OFW.

Yeah. Thanks for that. Im gonna email him this and hope this works as i cant think of anything else tbh. Btw guys n gals, I know you dont need to use sammy unlock for the ms25. Only the ms28 needs the unlock.
