hello all im hoping someone here can put me in the right direction as im looking to buy at least 10 sky + boxes but with out the installation or the satelite dishes and im looking to buy them at a good price too .thanks in advance .m

be aware that sky+ hd boxes are essentially useless without a paired card. you will be unable to get hd channels, sports channels or movie channels. you also will be unable to use the hard disk for recording

thanks fintanni,but i will be looking to connect them to sky and get all there channels but just looking for a supplier i guess to sell me the boxes and install themm myself .thanks

you will need a sub to get the chans from Sky, you wont get anymore than FTA chans with these boxs without the sub

your dreaming mickah,sky doesnt do anything free-theres a small matter of a substantial
subscription involved for a min of 13 mths.-which u conveniently omitted.also u should
cost the price of a replacement box +hd from sky or others to see the true cost of these
boxes.

with these sky +hd boxes they record dont they well if your subscribtion is canncelled can you view the recordings?just a question?

my point is is that it is not possible to get all sky channels using a sky hd box without a full sky hd subscription. the card must be paired to the box. this is done remotely by sky. so it is simply not possible for you get channels on boxes that sky do not install as sky must pair these boxes to the cards. also the record function disappears once the subscription is terminated but you will be able to play what is on the disk. however its a very expensive solution to just play movies that you have recorded in the past.
