hey boys, i've been getting some help here on how to complete my jtag... but I have a stupid question... does it matter where I put the resistors? I'm only jtagging 1 system, so I'm gonna use the LPT method. I know you have to put the diodes directly to the mobo, but have seen some people put the resistors closer to the DB25 connector.. so I wasn't sure if I should put them at the LPT end, or if I could solder them directly to the board? and some say the length of the cable matters as well... so I wanted to clairify if that actually matters...?

Doesn't matter where the resistors go but make sure you keep your cable as short as possible.

thats what I thought... I know resistors are uni-directional, whereas the diodes have to be placed a specific way... thanks miketrev.
