I've been lurking on these forums for the last two years now, resolving any issues by going on the superb information posted here.

However, I've ran into a problem which I haven't noticed before. I bought the KV A780 and before I turned it on and tried the remote, I continued by flashing it first. Turn off, press start, and turn on, all that worked fine and the box was flashed.

When I tried to turn it on, the remote wouldn't work. Different batteries, still no go. Has the flash done something to the remote signal?

Thank you.

Yep.

I followed the instructions posted in this very forum. Not much to them, quite simple. Downloaded the loader and firmware from the given links, and it said that the flash was successful.

Anyway to get back the FTA firmware (or remove the flashed firmware) to see if the remote control was indeed working when posted?

zanwar, did you try the remote against your mobile phone camera to see if is the remote[switch camera on,place remote sensor against the lense of your camera, press any button on the remote your phone screen should start flashing very fast, this indicates the remote is working]?

I havent failed, Ive found 10,000 ways that dont work.

have to laugh people presume its a prob with the firmware dont think so you are the first to have that remote problem its just an unlucky remote out of how many thousand's sold you will always get a few faulty because they are mass produced same as boxes but you should have no problem getting a new remote for you box ring your supplier and tell them

Funny thing.

I searched for the channels a few times and was wondering why I wasn't getting any. Then I saw that the ethernet cable was unplugged. Doh!
