i was using tverty threw my wirless network. i know if i get a crossover cable i can direct wire my pc to my ps3. is ther a way to tell tversty to stream via the wired conction only????

If you have a wired connection then just use windows media no need for Tversity. But I think it should automatically detect a wired connection tho.

PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

Or use PS3 media server; that way you can keep that microsoft crap from running.

You don't...it is terrible. Plus, it requires windows search and indexing to be installed and running...so it slows the PC to a crawl even when it is not serving to the PS3 or doing anything else. That is assuming you are using windows 7...older windows don't have such severe issues with search and indexing (vista is still bad, XP works fine), but the media players in those versions of windows are even worse.

I dont even know what search and indexing is and I have Vista. WIndows media player streams fine for me. But when Im too lazy to convert MKV files yeah I use PS3 Media server.

Oh and I guess I only use WMP cuz I have a 360 lol...other wise I would have stuck with Tversity and PS3 media server.

PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)
