Hey guys.
I just wanted to ask a question about playing 360 games off a hard drive. I did some searching online but couldn't find a straight answer.

Basically i'm gonna get a 360 hard drive and planning on installing my games to it as my disc dvd sometimes craps out in the middle of a game(disc unreadable error) I know it's not the laser because it's a brand new one. I'm thinking it's the actual drive or laser assembly.
But anyways what i wanted to know is if i boot the game off the hard drive (i know you've gotta have the disc in the drive for it too boot) but can i take the disc out after and give my mate to load up on her xbox so were playing the same game from the same disc? Or do you have to have the disc in the drive the whole time your playing a game.

Could someone please point me in the right direction thanks.

You have to have the disk in the drive, as soon as you press eject then your xbox will go to the dashboard.
