Hello everyone, First i would like to thank you all for taking time to read my question and i will be very grateful for you cooperation, I now have like 2 weeks trying to do this without result . The thing is that I'm trying to flash a hitachi 79 FL with a desktop computer(Alienware Aurora) that has 6 SATA port with the intel core i7, 9 GB RAM and windows7 64 bits and i'm using the jungle flasher 1.6/1.7 with the Ixtreme Firmewares for the Hitachi. But the problem is that there is no way I can get my Hitachi DVD drive in mode b(debug). I have tried all the version of Slax(including 21 the recommended one), I checked in my Bios config and the Hitachi appears in there, but the driver's letter never shows up in windows. then I boot from Slax and i never get to the "spinning up disk" message. I have also tried to install the Port i/o drivers for 64 bits OS disabling the enforced windows driver signature in order to use that flashing method instead of WinApi and then the jungle flasher says that my port io drivers are installed but it never finds the hitachi drive. So what can i do to get it flashed??

use the 79 unlock disk.
i use a 6421 card for my pc. i know the mobo works, but just easier that way for me.did you read the JF manul for hitachi's
