Hello everyone!
I don't know if I'm posting this in the right section, however I have been going around on the internet for quite some time now to find an answer to my problem.
Sad to say my attempts have been futile so now I turn to you for guidance. When I try to burn Backed up 360 games to DVD+R DL through CloneCD the process goes on as it should, and finishes (Successfully).
However, when I put it in my 360 it just loads for a while then instead of saying "Play game" it acts like there's no disc in at all. I put it in my PC again and it says the disc is empty.

I'm getting really confused over this, and hope someone might have picked up on something I've missed?

I use a TSST corp CD/DVDW TS-L632D ATA device (it also says DVD+R DL on the front) and as far as I know it should be able to burn Dual Layer DVDs. I burn at 2x and I use the .DVD file to make sure I get the layerbreak right.
I got my Xbox 360 flashed the other day, and backed up games work on it (Amongst others Red Dead Redemption) so I know that's not the problem.

Have u tried burning it with imgburn instead? it works flawless for me on 4x with verbatim and tdk dvd+r DL discs. just install image burn, goto write from image and select the .dvd file. burn. play!

if that doesnt work then i cant help u but its always worked for me

Ask me about my zombie plan!

Yeah I tried with Imgburn but that didn't work for me either. I've tried about 5 times now and I always use Verbatim to make sure I get good quality

this may be a dumb question but do u have them set to write? or just verify cos if theyre not set to write it goes through the process of burning without actually burning to test if it will be successful

Ask me about my zombie plan!

Actually I don't know, I haven't touched any other settings than the speed and layer break. If it's standard for CloneCD to have write turned off then that might be the case. I will look into it when I get back home.

Let's hope it's all a case of bad user, so I won't have to ease my wallet even further ;)

What xbox drive have you got? The "open tray" error is common for Hitachi's, also what media you using (Verbatims all the way!)

To see if you are actually burning your disks (rather than jusr verifying), pop it in to a DVD player and you should get a "insert this disk in to a xbox 360" messgase.

BTW, i always use IMGburn for mine and its very good

Does retail games work and do you have any other burnt games that work?

I would agree that you should be using Imgburn.

Hi again

Yeah I got an Hitachi, but I went out and bought myself an External DVD+R DL to work on instead, and it works! Okay, so now I get the "unrecognized disc" message, but atleast now it's doing SOMETHING. burned the first disc with CloneCD, trying right now with ImageBurn at 1x speed (just to be sure). I'll get back to you in roughly 50 minutes!

Back! And still no good.
I tried using ImageBurn at x2 (I guess next step would be to try x1). I got an error which I printscreened for you <3

I made sure to get the log for it too

And yeah, I tried Red Dead Redemption at the guy who flashed my Xbox360 for me, and it worked. The response I get from the discs on my 360 is that "the disc is dirty" etc. etc.
