If I had a friend deactivate my PS3 account from his PS3, would he still be able to used the map packs that he downloaded from me?

I think map packs work after deactivation...try it out; all you might loose is a little bit of time.

nope once you deactivate you cant use the content that you downloaded. map packs will be off. Even dynamic themes wont work! i deactivated an account my ps3 so yea...

Talked to my buddy and his PS3 did not crap out. He did however end up reformatting his HDD so that wiped out my PSN account info from his PS3. The question is this. If he were to again put my PS3 info on his machine and then deactivate it will it give me back another account towards another machine if mine were to kick the bucket?

I think so; I have reformatted 6 times, and my games still download, and most of them are shares from the accounts of others.
