Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible for a jtag 360 to pick up a usb drive? When I plug my drive in my console just wont find it. The reason I am asking is I have only got one HDD and I use it for my other 360 and don't want to brick it. So I want to use my usb drive for my jtag profile.

Yes a JTAG will read USB drives if that's what you mean by "pick up". Your JTAG (like any other 360) has to have dashboard 9199 on it to read profiles and saves from a USB device. If your 360 is JTAG'd with XBR, then you can't use USB for profiles, as XBR uses dashboard 8955. You'll need to update to freeBOOT which can use version 9199.

But with freeboot don't I need the cygnos360?

No all you need is your CPU key and your xbr.bin file. Use the freeboottoolbox maker to make your freeboot image and then flash that to your nand. done.
