Just realized that after installing a game onto the hard drive and trying to play with the scratched copy I have, it tells me to install the game again. On the earliest versions of NXE this wasn't the case as the method above worked for my GOW2 scratched disc. Just got me wondering do these games actually have individual ids? If so, downloading a game must put you at a greater risk of bans right?

Did you move your HD to a different console? The installed games will work ONLY if the HDD is on the same box you installed the game on. And as for your question. NO games do not have unique IDs or else just about every single person that plays backups would be banned.
