The toolbar I thought would have had 1.5 ixtreme firmware but it has loaded up 1.4.
what procedure do I need to follow to restore to original state and then upto 1.5 for Call of duty MW2.
I still have the original firmware on the pc so it should not be a bother.
would it be easier to use JF insstead of maximus next time
At this moment in time, Jungleflasher has come leaps and bounds ahead of where it used to be...and flashing Hitachi drives are a snap. You'll need to download iExtreme 1.51 (latest firmware for Hitachi) and the Hitachi firmware pack for jungleflasher.
If your system has been stable flashing before...it should go very smooth. My system loves Hitachis and Benqs...sometimes Liteons....Samsungs I will only approach using Dosflash.
"All drives should be updated to Lite Touch + (LT+) firmware if playing on XBOX live. Samsung drives and pre-78/79 Hitachi drives do not utilize AP 2.5. All other drives are considered to be detectable by Microsoft (YMMV). Make sure all rips are ABGX verified, contain SSv2, and patched AP2.5 (where needed). XGD3 must currently be burned on new drive with PC Burner Max firmware for 100% rip. All modded consoles can be potentially unsafe for use on XBOX live."

when using the JF I know I need to install Port/IO, but with the sata card does this need unistalled or disabled with the drivers deleted from the windows/systems32 folder.
I am asking as when I tried JF it came up with UNKNOWN REV VER error when trying to restore the firmware to original.

What is the "Hitachi firmware pack"?? and where can I find this?
laroc1, download the latest jungleflasher as the need for installing port/io drivers is no longer required. Also, download the Hitachifirmware pack here.
link AssKlown, it contains all the different iextreme 1.51 firmwares for the different revision Hitachi drives as well as their original bin files.
