Gonna get straight to the point here because I've already spend several hours searching for solutions (all of which DO NOT work for me).
Drive: Toshiba-Samsung MS25 TS-H943 with CFW iXtreme 1.61
DVD Media: LexmarkDVD+R DL (I know it's not Verb but the media does work, already tested/proven)
My drive is a piece to start (the tray won't open/close easily the majority of the time). I'm thinking the problem may have something to do with this.
Anyways, I have Red Dead Redemption on the DVD+R DL, it works in other CFW boxes, just not mine (but that's a lie). It will work at very RANDOM times. When it's not working, here's what happens:
Outcome 1: I put the disc in, "reading" is displayed for several seconds and then it says "Open Tray".
Outcome 2: I put the disc in, "reading" is displayed for several seconds and then it says "Play Game" but does not change to show which game is in the drive. If I choose to load the game, it will show a black screen and my drive will make noise as the disc tries to read the game. I eventually get the "Unreadable Disc Error". However, when the game does work, it will show game it actually is.
I'm assuming my problem could lie with a couple of things. 1.61 with a Sammy drive isn't Wave 5/6 (not entirely sure which wave, and I haven't found any information to either prove or disprove this), my flash didn't work right, or my drive just isn't working well enough any more.
Some things I've noted about this, is when I try to play regular games/discs (ex: Call of Duty MW2, the latest Arcade Bundle arcade game disc) will show up as "Play DVD" when recognized by my XBox.
All in all, I'm wondering if there's any way I could get some assistance on this.
