I have been reading for 2 months about flashing software, and keep landing on jungle flasher. So i went ahead and got the newest release. before i could even start, the exe would'nt load. I tried reinstalling, got several different releases, all the same error. I have windows XP Pro and the latest version of .net 3.5 sp1. I have also installed the portI/O and it appears fine in the device manager. Although that shouldn't matter as the exe should still boot up. I have also tried running in compatibility mode for all the choices, on the different releases.
My error is
" Jungle Flasher.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services"
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled. Process id=0x1144 (4420), Thread id=0x1148 (4424).
Click OK to terminate the application
Click CANCEL to debug the application.
Although the digits in () change when i try different releases. And the error is a little different text in different compatibility modes.
Could anyone out there help with this? I would really like to get this program up and running. I have been all over google and getting the same few threads. So I know some people out there have had this issue. although none of those threads have had a solution.
PS - Both required dll files are in the folder. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all .net frameworks and Internet Explorer.
PPS - i also ran (dependency walker) depends.exe and it says ........ Warning: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in a delay-load dependent module.
ADVAPI32.DLL, KERNEL32.DLL, MSVCRT.DLL, NTDLL.DLL, RPCRT4.DLL, USER32.DLL are all red at top of list.
DUSER.DLL, MPR.DLL, SHELL32.DLL, UXTHEME.DLL are all red with an hourglass next to them
I have posted on Jungle Flasher support forums and received to answers in recent weeks. (this problem has been constant since i flashed my first drive 4 months ago and all the others since) I would really like to be able to use JF, without a new computer or reformatting. I have never had the program successfully run for me and I'd like to see this simpler software actually run.
