thanks Wabash but it seems that's for a stock BenQ. Do i just follow the exact same instructions?

for the most part yea. only difference is you might need to power on the drive in 'half tray open' to get it into vendor mode. usually 'intro device' or 'benq unlock' will still work. and if all else fails, dosflash for the win.
