Ok im trying to burn anime onto DVDs so i can watch them on my DVD player/PS2 and i've transfered 8 .AVI episodes using TMPGnc, IFOEdit, and DVD Shrink into .VOB files....when i try and burn them onto one DVD Video DVD with Nero i get an error that says:

"File "VTS_01_0.VOB is not referenced and should not be present"

Now im guessing this is because each Episode has its own 5 file set of .VOB, .BUP, and .IFO files and somewhere in one of those files lists what files it needs and since im mixing all 8 episodes together and trying to burn it its messing it up. Is what im trying to impossible or is there some way to link these or edit one of the files so i can burn these together.

PLEASE help me!!!

Dont hate the game, hate the player.

If you use Nero to make the DVD directly from the .AVI it should work properly.
There is a DVD video maker in Nero 6.3 Ultra. I don't know about the OE version.

I dont think so, because when you try and make a DVD Video with Nero and drag a .AVI file into the Video_VOB folder it says it cant put .AVI files into it....

Nero does work but you need to use the right Nero program. There should be a video making program that will automatically convert the file to DVD format.
I have done it before.

It converted the file and made a menu then burned to dvd. Played on my stand alone players just fine.

Ok but your really not explaining the process at all but it doesnt matter...im taking a wild guess you used Nerovision Express and yes i do have it but when i try and use it three 173mb AVI files fills a 4 gig DVD....i dont want each dvd to only be able to have 3 episodes on it :/

I take it you have been successfull with the DVD creation. Past that I suppose you could reauthor and increase compression if you wanted more episodes per disc.
You might burn to image to save using a disc. I use Alocohol 120% to acces the image like a DVD. Then you can do what ever you want with the video ts folder.

Your original method would work but you would need to figure out where in the process you made the file error. Usually Nero will burn the DVD anyway if you tell it to with good results. I have burned several DVDs from video files that got an error but I was given the option to ignore the error.

If Nero says error but ignore if you want to then hit ignore. I have made several good movies this way. Nero just doesn't like the layout but it doesn't mean it will be a coaster.

Did the AVI have sound? Also did you use the video guides that are available on this forum?

Nah thats another problem i had, i had no sound and i still cant get sound to work.

Also, i burned my first DVD and the subs were cut off at the bottom and only the first episode worked out of 8. Nothing would happen if i tried to move forward or once the first episode ended it just stoped.
