Just flashed a 74850c with LT 1.1, JF 1.75, Win XP, CK3 Pro, CK3 V2, went well, but load times are bad, I mean really bad. N3 2 took a couple min. so I wasn't concerned, then I tried Alan Wake and it popped up the title in the menu but as soon as I clicked on play the screen went black and stayed that way. So I put in Red Dead redemption and same thing except after about two min. the main menu finally appears and can start game. It loaded for seriously 10 min. then booted me to NXE again. Tried again, got past that point, skipped a cut scene and loaded for about 15 min. then finally to gameplay. I use IMGBURN set to 2.4x, it always bumps me down to 2X though as soon as it starts
1. I am using Verbatim dvd+r DL and checked info to find they are "mkm 003" discs. Forums I found say they are good, opinion?
2. I am using Optiarc AD-7583s drive. I have had it for almost 2 years and burned A LOT of Wii games and movies with it. Is the drive the problem/getting old or just not good for 360 backups?
3. I doubt it is a bad flash or it wouldn't work at all correct? I have read about Liteon flashes killing laser, any ideas?

P.S. all burns verified perfect, flash verified, All files checked through ABGX ssv2, splitvid, layerbreak, and stealth, then discs were re-checked to make sure there was no burn errors

Wii ver. 3.4u NTSC wasabi DX solderless w/3.0 BETA firmware. verbatim dvd-r imgburn 4X

Yes, along with Taiyo-Yuden, they are the best.

I've used an Optiarc AD-7543 to burn 360 ISOs with no problems.

I wouldn't agree with that. I'm gussing I've done close to 50 Lite-Ons and they've never given me a problem. They even seem to run better than the coveted BenQ to me.

This would insinuate that the burns are good, leaving your drive/laser as the problem.

I put in a retail copy of a few games and all worked absolutely perfect. I am really confused. I assumed it was my burner so I tried to burn Alan Wake on another computer this time it starts to load, it doesn't show the picture in the menu, but it at least says "play game" then screen goes black for 10 seconds then comes up dirty disc. It is LT 1.1 which I am under the impression is supposed to fix dirty disc errors. All retail work perfect, just the backups that seem to be messing up, I don't feel the odds of having a large amount of a spindle of verbs are bad, never had this trouble before ever...

just so anyone that came to this post with similar problem is wondering, I figured it out. Drive is fine, the media/burner is the issue. Burned the same game three times with three different results.
1. got no picture or anything on blade (or whatever it is now) just Play game. click play just went black and stayed that way.
2. used different computer to burn same file, got pic on blade, click play, when black for 10 sec. then dirty disc message.
3. used original computer, took disc from bottom of the spindle, blade pic, loads up after 5 sec. of black screen, plays perfect other than a second or so studder every now and then during cut scenes and other random audio studders.
So obviously if the same file on same media has three different results, its consistency issue during burn. I used verbatim DVD+R DL 8X discs burned at 2X(for some reason I set it to 2.4 and it bumps it to 2). I somehow lost the label that goes around outside of spindle so I can't read if they are from india or singapore, but on back of top label it says RM#171007/P00014 if that helps any and they come up MKM 003, Oh and it is a 30Pk I got. Seems as though I may have gotten some of the ones from India finally that everyone bitches about or something.......I understand the complaints now
