The SOB should have retired 6 months ago; then I wouldn't have to sue Sony!

Screw this guy; all he ever did was to unlock iPhones...and there is no reason to unlock iPhones anymore; if you want freedom, you can get a faster android device for the same money or less. If anything, he led to the sale of some iPhones and the removal of OtherOS...nothing to be proud about on either count.

The prick talks about how people only want releases...well, when you post that you have it done, and then refuse to release the code, that is a bit like building a giant house across the street from me...and then coming over to say, "You could make your 1 bedroom into a mansion like mine for free, but screw you, I won't tell you how!"

...And if you have a problem with noobs coming to your website, THEN DON'T WORK WITH APPLE DEVICES THAT ONLY NOOBS BUY!!!

At least I can agree with one thing he did; he finally removed that post telling everyone that they could use their PS3 online with old firmware if they use a proxy hack...that was out of date for months...he probably wasted a million hours of people's time with that bad advise.

I disagree. I think what he did was give out FREE software in order to help out the people in the hacking community. He was hounded about everything he did and im sure this guy has a life other than hacking for everyone else at pretty much no benefit for him. How much did you do to help hack any devices? Maybe you did, maybe you didn't, but to give someone a hard time because he didn't hack the PS3 for you is rediculous.

If he refused to release the hack, then maybe it wasn't rock solid and didn't want a huge backlash for releasing a hack that would have lots of bugs. I just have a hard time about all these people bitching and whining about someone that puts out hacks for free. If you pay for it, then it's completely understandable if you want to bitch and moan, but since his services were free (im sure some people donated thou) then you really have no reason to bash him.

This guy took donations...and lots of them. Sure, I didn't pay him anything...but he didn't release anything of remote use to me. His software may have been free, but he was making money...and I am sure he made plenty from people thinking he was working on a CFW for the PS3.

...And I know he did nothing to give Sony a legitimate reason to remove OtherOS...but he did publicly release an incomplete hack that gave Sony an excuse to patch a hole that didn't exist.
