Splinter Cell Conviction Xbox 360, Need Help Downloading On Newsgroups

Hey guys. I own Splinter Cell Conviction for the Xbox 360 but I need a backup ASAP because my 3 nephews are in my house on vacation. They've already started scratching several Xbox 360 games I have but I can't backslap them so I need to download a backup.

I've tried downloading this game twice on newsgroups using binsearch.info, which I always use. But they always end up being video ts files when I extract them for some reason. I was wondering if someone can tell me from experience which version i need to download from newsgroups only, I don't use torrents for Xbox games, it takes too long. If someone can tell me the posters name that uploaded Splinter Cell so I can have a good idea of whom to download from. The last one I downloaded was from the poster abgx but to no avail.

Please help me if you can, thanks!

It seems that you are actually trying to extract the .iso itself. They are not .rars so there is no need to extract from what I can tell in this situation.

Your Winrar properties are probably enabled so that it is tied to .iso and .dvd files. You can change this through the settings or just (Right-Click->Properties->Opens with) and select the burning program that you use.

Sure you need a backup. I have all 185 backups myself...thank god! damn kids....

Man, thanks for the reply! Im definately going to check the settings in winrar. After grabit extracts the files it leaves me with the 3 files like usual. The thing i'm noticing is that the 7.2gb file which should be the iso file is classified as a winrar file and not iso. This is why I'm trying to extract it. It must be what your telling me. Ima give it a shot once I get outta work and I'll post my update.

Man, those kids are dangerous around electronics! They don't respect shi*! Ima start using they're money out they're piggybanks to cop the games to see how they'll feel about it then.

You were totally right! I had recently installed winrar and I forgot to associate iso files with img SMDH! thanks alot man, I'm off to playing SCC, I told the kids to get the hell away while I play cuz it curses like crazy! Hahah
