hey guys... I have an Elite that I fixed by removing the x-clamps, and doing the heatgun reflow... system worked great for about 6 months... then suddenly RROD. At first, secondary error was 0110 - which says its a RAM error... so I removed the GPU heatsink, and cleaned up all the AS5, reflowed again with the heat gun, re-applied AS5, reassembled everything... and now i'm getting error 0031.. fans spin up for about 0.5 seconds, and then everything is quiet... I've backed off my screws, re-tightened.. still the same..

I know I should probably look at getting a professional reflow... but I get waaaay more satisfaction in being able to fix it myself... and I don't want to pay for a reflow, only to have it happen again.

Any thoughts?

ram brick is probably fried. Maybe you stayed over the ram chips for too long trying to fix the 0110 error. Basically trash now

i didn't really heat up the ram chips any different... i mainly concentrated on the GPU.. although still passing over the ram as i did the rest of the board (stayed away from the CPU and caps on that side as I left the CPU heatsink on)
