Right.....N3 came to my area so i decided to use the fix for it (Guinness_HD+_Combo_With_Cccam_Fix_0524) ive had that installed since it came out but never turned its feature till 2 days ago and all went well :) but when i got up today some channels were down which confussed me for a bit and noticed that the mac address was wrong it was the 0A.00.00.00.00 so i used the Starview HD fix for blank MAC address + 'Bricked SVHD post to fix that up which i did :) so i thought all was well but when i went to update via USB to the latest firmware (Guinness_HD+_Combo_With_Cccam_Fix_0524) i got a update fail at the 20% mark, ive since then tried a few other files and no joy i have even tried a few other USB drives but have the same issue. Anyone have any ideas?? is it possable to update using the RS232 cable and just bypass the USB for the mo or have i missed sommit that will make me look stupid?

It may be nowt as ive never noticed it before when i tell the box to update its wee display says up9r does that mean anything?

yer i went back and did it just the way he said and that fixed the MAC address prob but gave the USB update prob. When i went to try all the older firmware i went to http://www.4shared.com/dir/6791846/54781b9c/sharing.html theres a Starview_HD_Combo_+_0128.uad and a GrooveRider_HD_Combo_+_0128.uad so this time i downloaded the Starview_HD_Combo_+_0128.uad and that was willing to update so from there i got the Guinness_HD+_Combo_With_Cccam_Fix_0524 file to install as well :) so thats that sorted.


ANYONE else have that prob then try the starview 0128 file 1st it help you out and save you from pulling yer hair out, looking for USB drives, snapping at folks and throwing all yer toys out the pram

Thanks for this. I have been able to install the Guiness file only after installing the file as per this procedure. But I still can not connect to the server. Connection status keeping saying Login is failed-Error code (o). Any ideas what I can do next?

Not sure how to check. I am getting some channells though. Mostly the HD ones. Some even on the SAT side eventhough I have nothing connected to it. Maybe all the channells will come on latter even though it is showing the error message.

Hi mate. Thanks alot. I am sorted now. The problem was the MAC that was lost. I have all the channells now and they seem to be very stable than before.

can you possibly help me.everything you have said about your box is happend to mine.can you give me some details on what firmware you put on following your macfix as mine says error code(0).any help much appreciated if you could,just carn't get my box to work.

hi put on starview 0128 scanned for channels could not get into 8989 menu so i factory reset then put on guiness 0524 scanned then went into 8989 applied auto in ip set-up still login failed error code(0).just a question when is the connection of the ethernet cable come during the set-up -at the start or after the scanning.also have i missed anything out here.sorry for this i have been trying now for 4 days with no luck please help!!
