Xbox backups playing as DVDs

I have googled this for two days now and can't seem to find a correct answer to my problem.

I recently purchased a new 360 and put my old Benq DVD drive in it. I then flashed the drive to Ixtreme 1.6. I began to use ABGX and burn copies with Imgburn. I used Verbatims DVD+R DLs and burned with the proper settings. I put these in my xbox 360 and it brings up the DVD menu (the white Xbox 360 screen with DVD controls). I have tried using SVR 2010, Just Cause 2, and UFC Undisputed 2010. None of them worked. I then updated to Ixtreme LT 1.2 for benq and still no luck. Everything seemed to go ok in the flash and I remembered to put my key in the new one. Whats going on? Does anyone know? My only other option that I know of is to go back to 1.61 as I have read about people having issues with LT 1.2. I have no interest in playing on XBL as my box doesn't even have an internet connection.

did you in fact get the key from the new xbox you bought?

I was under the impression that the keys were specific to the dvd rom drive in the xbox. Are you saying I need to get a key from the other drive that came with it?

yep, what you need is the key from the drive that was in the xbox when it was purchased by you.
